THERE’S ALWAYS TIME FOR A WORKOUT!
HOW TO MAKE TIME FOR WORKOUTS WHEN YOU THINK YOU DON’T HAVE THE TIME
Your inbox is full, deadlines are approaching and if someone popped into your home they could mistake the mess for a burglary. The last thing on your mind is that spin class, but exercise is exactly what you need to get back on track. In just 20 minutes of physical activity a day you can dramatically improve your mood, mindset, and overall sense of well-being. Follow our tips to stay moving and motivated even on a tight schedule!
🏠 Workout From Home No messing around getting to the gym (or being distracted by Dunkin’ Donuts on the way!) just grab your yoga mat and off you go. With plenty of apps now available offering both classes and tailored workout plans you can easily achieve your fitness goals from the comfort of your living room. Why not include a stretchy, relaxing yoga class to your evening routine to help you unwind in preparation for a restful nights sleep. ☀️ Incorporate exercise into your routines People always say they have no time to workout, but keeping fit can easily be incorporated into your everyday routines by pushing yourself a little bit harder. Giving yourself time dedicated to cleaning your home can multitask into a gym session. Exaggerate those stretches when dusting and take advantage of those vacuum cleaner lunges, even the most mundane task of ironing can burn up to 150 calories. Just be careful of your posture, remember to do some deep breathing and contract your abdominal and pelvic muscles to reap the full benefits.
🗓️ Be Organized Can’t find your second gym sock and that last clean tee seems to have disappeared under a mountain of dirty laundry? Set yourself up for success by having a gym outfit clean and ready at all times. The more time to procrastinate means a higher chance of losing motivation and giving in to a Netflix binge over a sweaty gym session. Having an organized attitude to your pre-gym rituals will help to keep you committed and focused, especially after a long day when finding that sock might as well be climbing Mount Everest!
🌟 Rise and Shine After a long day at the office when all you are dreaming about is a big bowl of pasta and veggin out in front of the TV, a workout is the last thing on your mind. So why not fit in that session first thing in the morning when you are at your most motivated. Setting that alarm clock just that bit earlier has the potential to completely change the course of your day. Studies show that how we start the day decides the rest of the decisions we will make. So this tip is a great one if you want to start including new routines into your day such as making more healthy food choices and going to the gym!
